Election 2012: Where do the candidates stand on LGBT rights?

Marriage Equality USA has put together a handy chart on where all of the 2012 candidates for President stand on a variety of rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. Take a look at where they are at on basic issues like employment protections, military service, adoption, and relationship recognition. It’s important to educate yourself on where they all come down on equality.

Another useful tool for getting all the information on the GOP Presidential hopefuls and civil rights is from the Center for American Progress. The group put together an amazing interactive collection of stances, in the candidates own words, that are sure to illuminate.

*Spoiler Alert!* They don’t like us.

We must, as a community and with our allies, make our issues a priority at the voting booth. If we don’t push our politicians or make our civil rights an issue, no one else will. Educate yourself and those around you. Make your voice heard.
